Replace KCX-B*W(M) with KCX-*W(M)

Question

Question

I have been using KCX-B*W (KCX-B*WM) continuously, but I heard that it has been discontinued.
I hear that KCX-*W(M) can be used as an alternative model depending on the usage, but could you please tell me specifically?

Answer

Answer

If used under the following conditions, it can be replaced with KCX-*W (KCX-*WM).
– Input logic: Positive logic (SW4 B side)
– Output operation switching: Mode 0 or 2 (SW5)
– When counting only in one direction (only incremet, only decrement)

Replacement

Model number comparison table

KCX-B series KCX-W(M) series
KCX-B4W KCX-4W
KCX-B4WM KCX-4WM
KCX-B6W KCX-6W
KCX-B6WM KCX-6WM

If an encoder is connected to the input

Connect only either OUTA or OUTB of the encoder signal to the counting input of the counter.

When used in decrement mode

for example,
If you are using the first setting value: 100 and second setting value: 500,
The counter operation starts from 500, and when the count value reaches 100, OUT1 turns on.
When the count value reaches 0, OUT2 turns on
To do.
However, KCX-*W(M) cannot be subtracted in this way.
Therefore
First setting value: 400, second setting value: 500
The counter operation starts from 0, and when the count value reaches 400, OUT1 turns on.
When the count value reaches 500, OUT2 turns on
Please change the usage to .

Output operation

If KCX-B*W(M) is used in mode 0, set KCX-*W(M) to B type operation (SW1 B side).
If KCX-B*W(M) is used in mode 2, set KCX-*W(M) to A type operation (SW1 A side).
